I'm always looking for new ways to promote Danny Thompson Photography in and around my local area of Halifax, West Yorkshire, so recently I became the proud sponsor of Sean McCormack, a 1st team player for Siddal ARLFC. I try my best to support local causes, ventures and businesses whenever I can and it's great to be involved with such a successful club! It is one of the leading amateur Rugby League Clubs in the country. Siddal ARLFC’s 1st team compete in the Hatton's Solicitors National Conference League at a national level but the club starts training its future players from the early age of 4! In total they have 16 different teams contributing to the club.

I paid a visit to Siddal ARLFC’s local training ground to have a quick catch up with Sean and obviously grab a photo or two. Sean has played for Siddal from the age of 8 and even represented Yorkshire at under 18 level, stacking up a fair few appearances over the years including an impressive 5 grand finals. He was deservedly awarded man of the match in the 2016 grand final.

Personally, I am more of a footy man so was chuffed to find out that Sean is a massive Leeds United fan when he’s not playing Rugby.

It was great to see my name featured in the match day programme alongside other local businesses including CWC Building Refurbishment, SimPrint Brighouse and Christian Scott hairdressing, situated in The Piece Hall, who coincidentally did a grand job of cutting my little lads hair just a couple of days ago!

I hope to continue to support the club and its players however I can and we are looking forward to shooting at the venue for a wedding in a few months time.

I wish them every success this season and will get down to take a few action shots when I get a spare weekend!
